Ashley’s Story
I grew up in a small town outside New York City, where conversations about emotional wellbeing were often unspoken — but their impact was everywhere, quietly rippling through generations. We didn’t have language for healing back then, but I learned firsthand how environment, stress, and emotion shape the body — and how everything begins to change when the nervous system finally feels safe.
My brother was the first to model what that transformation could look like. Through running, performance, and early explorations of holistic wellness, I watched him take ownership of his health — and I saw what possibility looked like.
I’d always planned to become a doctor, though I didn’t yet know what kind. I shadowed surgeons, anesthesiologists, and physicians in labor and delivery — witnessing extraordinary technical skill, but also exhaustion and disconnection. Something vital was missing.
When my brother moved to California, I followed. The sunlight, the vitality, the culture of wellbeing — it felt like a homecoming to something I’d always known was possible.
Then I met a naturopathic doctor. Within minutes of shadowing him, I saw something different: He hugged his patient, remembered her children’s names, and treated her as a whole person. The room felt warm, relational, alive. That was it — medicine with soul.
Naturopathic medical school felt like coming home. Its philosophy matched what I felt in my bones: symptoms as messengers, healing as physical, emotional, environmental, and spiritual. I built a practice and opened Ashira Rose Healing Collective in San Diego — a safe space devoted to root-cause healing.
Motherhood and the loss of my brother changed everything again. Grief brought me back to New York and into slower rhythms — family dinners, presence with my daughter, and deeper alignment with what truly matters.
Today, that wisdom lives through my work. I create spaces where people feel supported enough to explore, safe enough to listen inward, and empowered with the knowledge to flourish in their own timing.
What to Expect
Medicine, but make it a vibe.
Relationship-forward medicine that’s built on presence, and realness. I won’t rush, dismiss or talk over you.
Pattern recognition over isolated symptoms. Together, we connect the dots between your body, nervous system, lifestyle, and lived experiences to understand how they’re working together (or how they’re not).
Clear, usable science translated out of medical-speak and into insights you can actually apply in real life.
Shame-free healing that begins with understanding, not judgment, because your body isn’t broken; it’s communicating.
Care shaped by both formal training and lived experience: medicine, motherhood, loss, and resilience.
Specializations
Most clinicians are running on empty, disconnected from the purpose that once drew them to medicine—their patients often left unheard. Naturopathic medicine offers another way: one that honors the body’s intelligence and views symptoms as meaningful communication, not problems to silence.
My practice bridges modern science with integrative, compassionate care, addressing the root causes of imbalance while teaching you how to support your body’s natural capacity to heal.
I know what it’s like to be desperate for answers.
-
When your digestion is off, everything feels off — your gut truly sets the tone for how you think, feel, and function. Together we uncover what’s really driving discomfort, from microbial imbalances to inflammation, and rebuild the terrain for calm, clear, steady energy.
-
Your mind and body are deeply connected — one reflects the other. My approach to mental health integrates nutrition, hormone balance, and nervous system regulation, addressing the physiology behind mood, focus, and rest.
-
Your hormones are not your enemy — they’re messengers. I support women through every phase of life, from cycle irregularities to fertility, postpartum transitions, and graceful hormone shifts in perimenopause.
-
When energy dips, mood fluctuates, or metabolism feels off, your endocrine system is calling for attention. We’ll look deeper than labs to restore balance naturally and sustainably.
-
Many chronic symptoms have hidden origins. We’ll uncover environmental and microbial influences that quietly impact your immune and hormonal systems — and restore clarity through safe, supported detoxification.
